A brand new wing and extension to this prestigious Devon Hotel, originally designed by Arts & Crafts architect Stanley Philpot in 1925.

This prestigious project was also one of the most demanding we’ve ever undertaken. Commissioned by leading Architects and Interior Designers, Plumtree Mee, we were asked to completely build and fit out a new 13 bedroom extension to one of the most highly respected hotels in the South West – in just twelve months.

The award winning Gidleigh Park Hotel and Spa is a Grade II Listed Arts & Crafts property so any building work had to be completed to the highest of standards and completely in keeping with the existing architectural styling. We added a new section to the right of the old property which joined seamlessly to the original. This involved new walls, openings, roofs, windows, doors and complete electrical and plumbing services. The internal detailing too was significant. High quality finishings, oak panelled walls, bespoke staircases, luxurious bathroom suites – everything that a hotel of this standard needs to entertain their exclusive guests.
